10/26/13 – Family Halloween Party, Mount Sinai
Festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. Pot luck dinner, live music and dancing at the Mount Sinai Congregational Church, 233 North Country Road. Event open to the public; $5.00 donation requested. Costumes encouraged but not required. Please bring a dish to pass!
10/27/13 – Harvest Festival, Port Jefferson
The fun starts at noon and runs until dusk. Enjoy the Scarecrow Walk on East Main Street. There’s pumpkin decorating for the kids, along with crafts, woodcarving demonstrations, and more. Pet parade begins at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free!
10/31/13 – Halloween Festival, Stony Brook Village Center
Festival runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Trick-or-treating for kids in the village shops and free mini-pumpkins. Children’s costume parade and games. Winners of the scarecrow competition will be announced at 3:30 p.m. Spotlight Dance Academy performance at 4:00 p.m. Free!
10/31/13 – Benners Farm Haunted Hayride, Setauket
Haunted Hayride runs from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Fun and fear await for those who dare the haunted trail! Admission is $6.00, all-you-can-scream. Benners Farm is located at 56 Gnarled Hollow Road in Setauket.
Now through Nov. 3rd–Darkside Haunted House, Wading River
Not recommended for children under 12, this indoor/outdoor haunted house is sure to terrify! Movie quality sets and effects for those looking for a Halloween thrill. Admission is $20.00. Located at 25A in Wading River, 1 mile past the Eastwind Catering hall.
