Attention Port Jefferson! This is a friendly reminder to set your clocks one hour ahead this weekend, Sunday, March 11 for Daylight Saving’s time. I hope you’re looking forward to longer days as much as I am!
Spring is in the air and with warm weather on the way it’s hard not to daydream about trips to the beach or days spent in the garden. But before we get all that, we can’t forget about the colorful holiday that is fast approaching this April. While local Port Jefferson stores are dotted with pastel décor and rabbit-themed merchandise, we are reminded that Easter is well on its way.
Hard to believe, right?
If you haven’t solidified your Easter plans, many restaurants in Port Jefferson are great places for a special Easter brunch. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Port Jefferson is one of the best places to live on Long Island, and its many great restaurants are here to prove it. From your trusted Port Jefferson real estate agent, here are just a few places to check out this Easter!
Ruvo Restaurant & Bar: Call the restaurant or make your reservations online for a five-star experience at Ruvo Restaurant & Bar. Located in the heart of Port Jefferson, Ruvo offers an endless menu with options suited for everyone, including a separate menu catered to the gluten-free. From buttermilk pancakes to cranberry-nut French toast (yum!) to old fashioned eggs and bacon, this restaurant could be the ultimate Easter brunch experience you’ve been hoping for.
Schafer’s: For a casual dining experience, head on over to Schafer’s, a restaurant and bar that creates the ideal group setting. Located on the waterfront, enjoy both American and Japanese cuisine with a great view of the water beyond. Make your reservations early for a gourmet Easter Sunday brunch. After your Easter dining experience, visit Schafer’s again and again for dueling pianos on Friday and Saturday, Wine Down Wednesday and Tails Tuesday.
Toast Coffeehouse: If you haven’t been to the ever popular Toast Coffeehouse, you’re in for a real treat. With all of the fabulous restaurants in Port Jefferson, this one remains at the top of my list for its artistic vibe and great breakfast options. With raving reviews from the New York Times and a 2008 designation of the best breakfast on Long Island by AOL City’s Best, Toast Coffeehouse is home to an array of tapas, cheese plates, fondues, a vast selection of wine and so much more. The catch? Toast Coffeehouse doesn’t accept reservations during breakfast hours. If you want to be in the hot seat on Easter Sunday, make sure to get there early!
Easter is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with family and friends around a table of delicious cuisine. For an excellent experience guaranteed, these are my suggestions for your Easter brunch outing. For an excellent experience in real estate, I’d love to be your go-to person in that department as well. With my love for everything Port Jefferson has to offer, it would be my pleasure to help you find your next home in a great community.
